This process takes 2-3 weeks, and once the design is finalized, our team will double-check every detail to ensure accuracy and functionality. You will need to approve the design once it's complete.

Your journey to clean energy starts with a detailed site survey. If it hasn’t been completed yet, it’s coming up soon! We ask that you be home for this visit, as our surveyor will need access to the interior of your home- including the attic, electrical panel, and exterior roof structure. This survey helps us gather essential details so our design team can create the ideal solar solution for your home.

We handle the paperwork so you don’t have to. Our team will submit the necessary applications for city and utility permits, wherever applicable. This approval process can take 4 to 12 weeks, depending on your utility and local jurisdiction. The utility paperwork typically requires your signature, and we’ll oversee the entire process on your behalf.

Important Note: You may notice an energization date on interconnection documents. This is a placeholder required by the utility, not your actual installation date.

Once we have the approvals, we’ll begin prepping your equipment and scheduling your installation.

We’ll request Permission to Operate (PTO) from your utility company. Sometimes, this can take a few weeks, depending on the utility's workload, which we know can be frustrating. Please Note: Depending on the utility your system may be on or it could be powered off until PTO is granted. Your Project Manager and the installers are experts in knowing what to do for each utility, and your Project Manager will update you accordingly.

Once PTO is granted, you’re cleared to sell excess generation to the utility if they allow for that.
